Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 16 March 2016 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares at an average price of 464.00p per share:

Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
461.30p
The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above transaction, the Company holds 13,752,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 638,078,815 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
