Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 18 March 2016 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 467.06p per share:

Highest purchase price paid per share: 
468.30p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
463.70p
Following the above transaction, the Company has 637,278,815 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 14,152,000 ordinary shares in treasury.
