Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 21 March 2016 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 466.61p per share:

400,000
Highest purchase price paid per share: 
468.60p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
465.60p
Following the above transaction, the Company has 640,201,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 10,828,842 ordinary shares in treasury.
