TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 23 March 2016 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 471.83p per share:

400,000
Highest purchase price paid per share: 
473.50p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
468.20p
Following the above transaction, the Company has 639,401,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 10,828,842 ordinary shares in treasury.
