Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 31 March 2016 it purchased through Numis Securities Ltd the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 476.57p per share:

Highest purchase price paid per share: 
478.70p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
473.80p
Following the above transaction, the Company has 638,401,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 10,828,842 ordinary shares in treasury.
