Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 14 April 2016 it purchased through Numis Securities Ltd the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 462.94p per share:
Number of ordinary shares purchased and subsequently cancelled: 
400,000
Highest purchase price paid per share: 
464.90p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
461.50p
Following the above transaction, the Company has 635,401,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 10,828,842 ordinary shares in treasury.
