TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 21 April 2017 it purchased through UBS Limitedthe following number of its ordinary shares of 10p each ("Shares") for cancellation at an average price of 462.44p per Share:

Highest purchase price paid per Share: 
464.20p
Lowest purchase price paid per Share: 
459.90p
Following the above transaction, the Company holds 7,420,580 Shares in treasury and 630,056,307 Shares in issue (excluding those held as treasury shares). This figure (630,056,307) represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
