TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 14 March 2018 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares of 10p each ("Shares") for cancellation at an average price of 485.99p per Share:

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 7,420,580 Shares in treasury and 619,972,175 Shares in issue (excluding those held as treasury shares). This figure (619,972,175) represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
