India's HPL Electric jumps on quarterly profit rise

** Shares of Electric equipment maker HPL Electric & Power
 HPLE.NS  climb 5.9% to 531 rupees
**  Co reports about 96% y/y jump in Q2 consolidated profit to
215.2 mln rupees ($2.6 mln)
    ** Rev from ops grew 21% to 4.22 bln rupees, while expenses
rose 17.9% to 3.94 bln rupees
    ** Stock on track to snap three-session losing streak
    ** Trading volumes at slightly over 2x the 30-day avg of
137,000 shares
    ** HPLE up ~112% YTD
