** Shares in Huhtamaki HUH1V.HE are down nearly 3% after the company reported a slightly bigger-than-feared decline in Q4 sales
** The group's topline came in at EUR 980.5 million ($1.16 billion) in the quarter, down from EUR 1.06 billion a year ago
** While its EBIT of 103 million euros came in 3% ahead of consensus cited by Jefferies, the broker said Huhtamaki needs volume recovery for operating leverage to be visible in the earnings
** "The company managed to offset weak revenue through good cost control," Inderes says, but notes that on a reported basis, operating profit missed expectations
** Huhtamaki expects trading conditions to remain "relatively stable" in 2026, which Jefferies views as broadly neutral, noting, however, that while stability helps, FX headwinds and uncertain volume recovery pose a slight 0–3% downside risk to 2026 EBIT
** Inderes adds that sustaining Huhtamaki's expected earnings-growth pace will likely require stronger demand than what the latest report seems to indicate
** The shares fell after a 6% run in February up until the publication of the report
