** Shares of chemical firms Olin OLN.N up 2.2% at $25.82; Huntsman Corp HUN.N down 9.2% at $14.44
** OLN says it will acquire HUN in an all-stock deal valued at $2.43 billion, according to Reuters calculation based on HUN's 175.35 million shares outstanding per LSEG data
** Under the terms of the agreement, Huntsman shareholders will receive 0.5476 Olin shares for each share they own
** Offer price of $13.85 per share is about 12.8% below Huntsman's last closing price
** Transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027
** As of last close, OLN up 21.5% YTD; HUN up 58.9% YTD
