Hycroft Mining soars as gold surges above $2,000/oz

** Shares of gold and silver producer Hycroft Mining
 HYMC.O  rally 183% to 93 cents premarket, eyeing their highest
level in over a year as gold prices surge
    ** U.S. gold futures  GCv1  up 0.7% to $2,008.90, after
scaling a 1-1/2-year peak of $2,002.40 on Monday, while spot
silver  XAG=  advances 1.7% to $26.1  GOL/ 
    ** Safe-haven gold has breached the key $2,000 level as
investors view it as a safe store of value during global crises

    ** HYMC is heading for its best week in about three months;
