Webuild, Hyundai E&C to step up collaboration in strategic infrastructure sectors

March 17 (Reuters) - Webuild WBD.MI has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Engineering & Construction 000720.KS to strengthen their existing collaboration, Italy's largest construction group said on Tuesday.

The agreement opens a new phase in the industrial partnership, aimed at expanding the companies' presence in highly specialised segments, Webuild added.

Cooperation will focus on port, airport and defence infrastructure and the green energy sector

North America and Asia Pacific regions in focus due to rising demand

MoU provides the possibility of establishing dedicated joint ventures

Companies will be able to present integrated structures capable of operating as contractors under PPP, EPC or Design & Build models
