China video game shares rise as regulator grants new licences

** Shares of Chinese video game companies up as country's
video games regulator grants publishing licences to 45 foreign
games for release in the country
    ** The move effectively marks the end of Beijing's crackdown
on the video games industry, which began last August
    ** The regulator also approved 84 domestic games for the
month of December
    ** The CSI Anime Comic Game Index  .CSI930901  adds 1.5%
    ** Besides Tencent  0700.HK , NetEase  9999.HK , ByteDance,
XD Inc  2400.HK  and iDreamSky  1119.HK  also received game
approvals in December
    ** Shares in XD Inc and iDreamSky jump roughly 4% and 6%,
respectively, despite a 2% slump in tech giants listed in Hong
Kong  .HSTECH
