The S&P 500 and Nasdaq dropped in choppy trading on Monday, weighed down by
losses in AI-favorite Nvidia ahead of its results later in the week, while
markets awaited a key inflation report and cemented bets on an imminent rate cut
by the Federal Reserve.  .N 
    
    At 11:34 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.06% at
41,200.56. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.29% at 5,618.03 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.78% at 17,737.723.
