Icosavax rises on positive results of respiratory diseases vaccine

** Shares of vaccine developer Icosavax Inc  ICVX.O  rise
24% to $9.76, among top pct gainers across U.S. exchanges
    ** Co late on Monday announced positive interim results from
its early-stage clinical trial of IVX-A12 against respiratory
syncytial virus (RSV) and human metapneumovirus (hMPV) in older
adults
    ** IVX-A12 induced immune responses at day 28 to both RSV
and hMPV in older adults - co
     ** Adds the vaccine was generally well tolerated with no
vaccine related serious adverse events
    **  Co plans to initiate a mid-stage immunogenicity trial
for IVX-A12 in mid-2023
    ** Most encouraging, IVX-A12 produced marked increases in
antibody titers against both RSV and hMPV, the first vaccine to
do so in an older adult population - TD Cowen
    ** Antibody titer is a laboratory test that measures the
level of antibodies in a blood sample
    ** Brokerage believes IVX-A12 is a viable and competitive
combined RSV and hMPV vaccine
    ** Stock up ~22% YTD
