Jefferies bullish on Icosavax's RSV vaccine data in 2023

** Two major clinical data readouts in 2023 for Icosavax
Inc's  ICVX.O  RSV vaccine candidates present a greater upside
than downside for the vaccine maker, says Jefferies
    ** ICVX is on track to report 12-month durability data in
mid-2023 for IVX-121, its respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
vaccine candidate - brokerage
    ** Data readout can help differentiate Icosavax's candidate
from other RSV vaccine programs, including from larger rivals
such as Pfizer Inc  PFE.N  and Moderna Inc  MRNA.O , due to its
higher durable immune response seen in the six-month data, says
Jefferies
    ** ICVX is also set to share data from early-stage
combination vaccine IVX-A12 in mid-2023, which targets both RSV
and another respiratory disease called human metapneumovirus
    ** The combo vaccine can be a distinguished candidate for
older adults and help ICVX target a niche market of $5 bln-$10
bln - brokerage
    ** While the focus remains on ICVX's RSV franchise, its
other pipeline programs, including bivalent COVID-19 vaccine
candidate selection planned this year, show promise
    ** RSV is a respiratory disease that causes symptoms similar
to a cold but can be fatal for young children and older adults
    ** All 5 brokerages covering the stock rate "buy" or higher;
median PT is $27, representing an over 3x premium to stock's
last close - Refinitiv
    ** ICVX has fallen 40.2% in the past 12 months
