Sept 8 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions
and disposals were reported by 0955 GMT on Wednesday:

    ** U.S. payments giant PayPal Holdings Inc  PYPL.O  said it
would acquire Japanese buy now, pay later firm Paidy in a $2.7
billion largely cash deal, taking another step to claim the top
spot in an industry experiencing a pandemic-led boom.

    ** British industrial technology group Smiths  SMIN.L  has
agreed to sell its medical division to U.S.-based ICU Medical
 ICUI.O  for $2.4 billion, it said, scrapping an earlier $2
billion deal with private equity firm TA Associates.

    ** French drugmaker Sanofi  SASY.PA  said it would buy U.S.
biopharmaceutical company Kadmon Holdings  KDMN.O  for $1.9
billion, one month after announcing the purchase of another US

    ** JPMorgan  JPM.N  has struck a deal to buy a majority
stake in German car giant Volkswagen's  VOWG_p.DE  payments
business ahead of a planned rollout of in-car technology that
allows drivers to automatically pay for fuel or tolls.

    ** Dongfeng Motor Hong Kong  0489.HK  (DMHK) said it had
completed the sale of 36.1 million shares in carmaker Stellantis
 STLA.MI  for around 600 million euros ($709.9 million).

    ** TruKKer, the largest digital freight network in the
Middle East and North African markets, said it had acquired
Pakistan's TruckSher, as part of its expansion plans into the
