** Swiss biotech company Idorsia IDIA.S rises 5.1% in premarket trading on plans to pursue a development program for its drug daridorexant used in autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
** Findings from a Phase 2 pediatric insomnia study showed an unexpected pattern of improvement in affect and behavior, cognition and daily activities in participants with ASD or subthreshold ASD characteristics
** "The distinct response observed in children and adolescents with ASD was unexpected," Chief Scientific Officer Martine Clozel says
** The company expects to provide details of the development program in the first half of 2027 following discussions with health authorities
** Up until Friday's close, the shares lost about 2% YTD
