India's IL&FS Transportation, IL&FS Investment Managers gain on LIC support

** Shares of IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd  ILFT.NS  and
IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd  ILFS.NS  rise as much as 4.7 pct
and 11.4 pct, respectively
    ** Life Insurance Corporation of India said it will not
allow beleaguered Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services
(IL&FS) to collapse; open to raising stake in IL&FS  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nD8N1VY00R
    ** IL&FS has revealed series of delays and defaults on debt
obligations and inter-corporate deposits in recent days 
    ** Around 2 mln ILFT shares change hands vs 30-day avg of
about 764,000 shares, while over 4 mln IL&FS Investment Managers
shares traded vs 30-day avg of 1 mln 
    ** ILFT has a PB of 0.17 while ILFS Investment Managers' PB
is 0.79
