Australia's Immutep jumps on positive phase 2 trial results

** Shares of Immutep Ltd IMM.AX surge 17.5% to A$0.3225,
set for its best day since June 5, if gains hold
** IMM stock at its highest level since Aug 8
** Co says its drug Efti, a protien, in combination with
Merck & Co's drug Keytruda gave better survival benefits in
phase 2 trial for non-small cell lung cancer patients
** Says median overall survival reaches 35.5 months in
first-line treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung
cancer patients
** "These are excellent results and continue to
confirm our investment thesis" - Jefferies
** About 3.5 million shares change hands as at 0221 GMT,
about 5.3 times the 30-day average
** Stock up ~1.5% this year since last close
