Live Markets: Europe before the bell: modest gains

EUROPE BEFORE THE BELL: MODEST GAINS
European equity futures are trading slightly higher on Wednesday, adding to the modest gains from the day before.
Euro STOXX 50 futures are up 0.4% after the index rose 0.3% to a 2-1/2 week high on Tuesday, as some calm returned to markets.
Futures on the DAX FDXc1, CAC FCEc1 and FTSE FFIc1 are flat to up 0.2%.
Eyes today will be on the private payrolls report from ADP, as the usual nonfarm payrolls print on Friday is delayed due to the recently-ended U.S. government shutdown. The ADP report on the labour market has garnered more attention recently due to the absence of official data.
In corporate news, Airbus AIR.PA shares will be in focus after the company cut its commercial aircraft delivery target by 30 aircraft, although it added that its 2025 financial guidance remains unchanged.
Zara owner Inditex ITX.MC will also be one to watch, after it reported expectation-beating sales in the quarter ended October 31.
