** Informatica INFA.N jumps 6.4% to $24 premarket; Salesforce CRM.N up 1.6%

** Salesforce nears $25/share buyout offer for Informatica, in a deal worth $8 bln overall, Wall Street Journal reports

** Deal to be announced later today, according to WSJ

** Salesforce and Informatica did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment

** They had abandoned merger talks in April 2024

** INFA stock jumped 17% on Friday; biggest single-day jump since November 2023

** Up to last close, INFA stock had fallen 13% YTD% vs an 18% decline in CRM
