The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was down 1.27% at 76,681.29, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 index .NSEI declined 1.14% to 23,897.95, as Middle East tensions-linked higher oil prices and a slump in IT stocks after weak forecasts from Infosys and HCLTech dented sentiment. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN dropped 0.15% versus the U.S. dollar to 94.2475, as worries over the fragility of a U.S.-Iran ceasefire and disrupted energy flows sparked a renewed surge in oil prices. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 96.66 rupees, with the yield up nearly 2 bps at 6.9679%. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was up one basis point at 5.9025%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC rose 2 bps to 6.51%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5%.
