Australia's Inoviq rises on grant of U.S. patent for cancer study

**  Shares of medical diagnostics co Inoviq  IIQ.AX  rise as
much 12.5% to A$0.72
    ** Co says patent titled "Method of detecting cancer" was
issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office to
Sienna Cancer Diagnostic Ltd, unit of co
    ** The patent is due to expire on March 11, 2035 and claims
use of co's stelomerase antibody to resolve inconclusive
cytology and detect malignant cells
    ** Shares hit highest since April 21
    ** Stock has fallen ~46% this year, as of last close
