** Stock is the top gainer on FTSE 100 .FTSE, which has slid 2%

** Canada-based Intact Financial Corp IFC.TO is exploring a potential bid for Hiscox as it tries to build out its commercial lines business, Insurance Post reported citing sources; Reuters couldn't verify the report
