** Video, telecom and AI research firm wins contract from U.S. Department of War

** U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered Department of Defense to rename itself Department of War, a change that will require action by Congress.

** IDCC to work with partners DeepSig and Skylark Wireless on technologies that allow commercial 5G and future communication technologies to coexist in same frequency bands

** Co did not provide any financial details on the contract

** Analysts tracking IDCC rate it "buy" on average, media PT is $450 - data compiled by LSEG

** Up to Wednesday's close, stock is up 81% this year
