Chinese gaming stocks jump as Beijing pledges support

** Shares of Chinese gaming companies jump, with an index
tracking the sector  .CSI931523 , rising more than 2% to a
two-week high
    ** China will promote the development of cultural media,
online games, animation and creative design businesses, with
plans to expand a pilot scheme to approve online games, the
country's commerce ministry said in a statement on its website  
    ** In China, shares of Dinglong Culture  002502.SZ  surge by
the daily limit of 10%; Perfect World  002624.SZ  and G-Bits
Network Technology  603444.SS  jump roughly 4% each
    ** In Hong Kong, NetEase  9999.HK  and XD Inc  2400.HK   
surge more than 6% each
    ** Other gainers in the sector include Youzu Interactive Co
 002174.SZ , 37 International Entertainment  002555.SZ  and IGG
 0799.HK
