Adds details on FY forecast, earnings in paragraphs 2-4, chairman quote in paragraph 5
Aug 6 (Reuters) - Italian high-pressure pump maker Interpump ITPG.MI on Wednesday reported a 6% increase in its second-quarter core profit (EBITDA) compared with a year ago, helped by growth in its water-jetting division.
The company also re-affirmed its forecasts for the current year.
The group's core profit for the period to end June was 132.1 million euros ($153.6 million). Net profit fell to 60.4 million euros from 62.5 million in the same period last year.
Interpump said that, although it had not been impacted by U.S. tariffs, "the general environment remains uncertain and difficult to read".
"Accordingly, for prudence, the group confirms the forecasts made for turnover and profitability in the current financial year," Executive Chairman Fulvio Montipò in a statement.
