The bank on Tuesday reported higher then expected quarterly earnings helped by fees earned through newly acquired fund manager Anima Holding ANIM.MI, and confirmed the full-year outlook after staving off a takeover by lager peer UniCredit CRDI.MI.
IVECO IVG.MI
Proceeds from the sale of truckmaker Iveco and its defence arm will boost the Agnellis' warchest for deals, but the Italian business dynasty would not have to wait for the cash to make a big purchase, a source with direct knowledge of the matter said.
BPER BANCA EMII.MI
(*) Italy's BPER Banca reported a 29.5% year-on-year rise in first-half net profit, driven by strong fee income that offset pressure on its net interest margin.
