    POLITICS
    The Group of Seven (G7) major democracies meeting in Italy
next week will discuss the risk of fragmentation in global trade
after "very tough" tariffs imposed by the United States against
China, Italian Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said.
    
    ECONOMY
    Bank of Italy releases March data on public finances, state
borrowing and debt.
    
    COMPANIES

    Italy's largest regional power utility on Tuesday raised its
core and net profit forecast for the year, after posting a 70%
higher first-quarter profit boosted by growth in hydro
production.
    
    FINCANTIERI  FCT.MI  
    The newly-acquired Underwater Armament Systems (UAS)
submarine business has a "very positive" outlook, the
shipbuilder's chief executive Pierroberto Folgiero said on
Tuesday.
    
    GEOX  GEO.MI  
    The Italian shoemaker cut its full-year sales growth outlook
on Tuesday, citing inflationary pressures as it reported
first-quarter revenue down 13.5% year on year at current
exchange rates.
