ISTAT releases April CPI final data (0800 GMT); March
foreign trade data (0900 GMT).
DEBT
Foreign investors bought 76.9% of Italy's new green BTP
bond, due October 2037, the Italian Treasury said on Wednesday.
Around 350 investors have taken part in the transaction which
attracted record orders for over 84 billion euros ($91.11
billion).
COMPANIES
TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI
U.S. investment firm KKR KKR.N will likely offer remedies
next week in an attempt to secure EU antitrust approval to buy
the Italian telecoms group fixed-line access network, a person
familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
IREN IREE.MI
The Italian utility could name a new CEO in June, when its
annual general meeting is due to take place, after the current
head Paolo Emilio Signorini was arrested last week as part of a
corruption investigation, Executive Chairman Luca Dal Fabbro
said during a post-results call on Wednesday.
ENI ENI.MI
The Italian energy company reduced net carbon emissions in
the upstream sector by 40% and overall emissions by 30% last
year compared with the levels of 2018, the Italian energy
company said on Wednesday as it published its sustainability
report.
TOD'S TOD.MI
Turnover at Italian luxury shoemaker fell by 4.7% at
constant exchange rates in the first quarter, to 258 million
euros ($280 million), with its key brands hit by weakness in the
Chinese market, Tod's said on Wednesday.
MONTE DEI PASCHI (MPS) BMPS.MI
Moody's upgraded the lender's ratings by one
notch thanks to strong capital position and capacity to generate
profits, Monte Paschi said on Wednesday.
POSTE ITALIANE PST.MI
Operating profit at the state-owned group fell 8% in the
first quarter despite slightly higher revenues, due to the sharp
gains the postal service pocketed a year ago when it sold some
of its Italian government bonds, the company said on Wednesday.

The Italian energy company on Wednesday published a new
2024-2026 business plan, under which it pledges to pay a
dividend of up to 1.3 euros ($1.41) and invest up to 1.2 billion
euros.
