Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on August 24

ZURICH/BERLIN, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Here are some of the main
factors that may affect Swiss stocks on Tuesday:  
    
    NOVARTIS  NOVN.S  
    Novartis said its Kymriah to treat aggressive B-cell
non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) after relapse or lack of response to
first-line treatment did not meet its primary endpoint of
event-free survival compared to treatment with the
standard-of-care in a phase III study.

    COMPANY STATEMENTS
    * Arbonia  ARBNO.S  said its group result after tax jumped
to 23.6 million Swiss francs in the first half of 2021 from 5.9
million.  ARBNO.S 
    * BV Holding  BVHN.BN  said its reported consolidated EBITDA
amounted to CHF 12.3m in the first half after CHF 13.8m in the
prior year period. It has sold all investments except for a
majority stake in Skan Holding AG, which plans an Initial Public
Offering (IPO) at SIX Swiss Exchange in the fourth quarter of
2021. The shares of BV Holding AG will be delisted from BX Swiss
immediately before the IPO of the Skan Group at SIX Swiss
Exchange.
    * Credit Suisse  CSGN.S  hired Emre Gunalp as global co-head
of diversified industrials investment banking, Bloomberg
reported late on Monday.  CSGN.S 
    * Flughafen Zürich AG  FHZN.S  said it recorded a
consolidated loss of 45.1 million Swiss francs for the first
half year that was marked by pandemic-related travel
restrictions.  FHZN.S 
    * Intershop  ISN.S  said net profit increased by 20% to CHF
40.9 million in the first half.  ISN.S 
    * Landis+Gyr  LANDI.S  said it had signed a contract with
Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities
Company for advanced metering infrastructure and IOT network.

    * Leclanche  LECN.S  said it appointed Guillaume Clement as
vice president of its e-marine business and opened an office in
Oslo.  LECN.S 
    * LLB Group  LLBN.S  said group net profit increased to 71.1
million Swiss francs in the first half of the year.  LLBN.S  
    * Schindler  SCHP.S  said it won a contract to deliver and
install 180 escalators for two new routes of the Bangalore Metro
Rail Corporation Ltd.  SCHP.S 
    * Vetropack  VETN.S  said its consolidated semi-annual
profit reached CHF 40.4 million.  VETN.S 
    * Vifor Pharma  VIFN.S  announced with Cara Therapeutics
U.S. FDA approval of Korsuva injection for the treatment of
moderate-to-severe pruritus in hemodialysis patients.  VIFN.S
