Saudi Arabia sets initial guidance for dual-tranche dollar sukuk, IFR Sept 1 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has set an initial price guidance for its two-tranche U.S. dollar-denominated Islamic bonds, or "Sukuk", fixed income news service IFR reported on Tuesday.
The indicative price for the benchmark-sized 5-year portion has been set at 100 basis points over U.S. Treasuries, while the 10-year part carried an initial price guidance of 110 bps over the same benchmark. A benchmark deal is typically understood to be at least $500 million.
Citi, Goldman Sachs International, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and Standard Chartered Bank have been selected as global coordinators and joint bookrunners, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, BNP Paribas, Dubai Islamic Bank, Fubon Bank, ING, Intesa Sanpaolo, Aljazira Capital and Société Générale were working on the debt deal as passive joint lead managers, IFR added.
The proceeds from the debt sale, which is expected to be priced later in the day, will be put towards financing general domestic budgetary needs.
