much as 12% to A$0.084, their highest since Aug. 26
    ** Stock posts its biggest percentage gain since Oct. 22
    ** Oil and gas explorer completes previously announced $10
million placement
    ** Says it raised additional $2 million due to strong demand
from institutional and private investors
    ** About 4.5 million shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of around 1.4 million
    ** Stock down 34.8% YTD, based on last close
