** Life-science firm announces the first set of laboratory
results testing of drug INV043 on anal cancers urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASX5CFL6V
** Says tests showed that INV043 was effective against the
cell lines that cover the spectrum found in anal cancers
** Adds pre-clinical testing using INV043 has now started as
a prelude to moving to clinical testing in patients with anal
cancer
** IVX stock is down 42.9% YTD as of last close
