** Shares in Ipsen IPN.PA fall about 2% after the French biopharmaceutical company said a pivotal trial for treatment of fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP) failed to meet its primary endpoint
** Ipsen says Phase II FALKON trial evaluating investigational drug fidrisertib in adults and children with FOP, a rare genetic disorder causing abnormal bone growth in muscles, tendons and soft tissues, did not meet the endpoint of reducing new growths vs placebo
** J.P. Morgan analyst Richard Vosser calls the outcome a "minor negative", noting no value for fidrisertib was factored into Ipsen's forecasts
** He emphasises a limited downside risk, as analysts had minimal expectations for the experimental treatment
** The stock is among the worst performers on the SBF 120 index .SBF120 on Paris' most traded stocks
