UK's IQE surges on 2025 earnings boost

** Shares of British semiconductor wafer maker IQE IQE.L jump as much as 25.3% to 9.20p; on track for highest one-day gain since April 2024

** IQE expects FY 2025 revenue of 97 million pounds ($130.48 million) and adj. core profit of about 2 million pounds, up from prior forecasts

** In H1 2025, co forecast 2025 revenue of 90 million pounds to 100 million pounds and adj. core profit of -5 million pounds to 2 million pounds.

** Says strong trading in H2 on faster-than-expected funding releases for some U.S. military and defence programmes

** Adds IQE board negotiating non-binding offers for group and assets

** In 2025, IQE stock fell ~55%
