The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

    POLITICS
    Italy could seek an EU executive vice-presidency and the
commissioner for industry and the internal market, including
aerospace, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani was quoted as saying
by the Italian newspaper Il Foglio on Saturday. Tajani added
that the current European Affairs and NRRP Minister Raffaele
Fitto had all the qualities needed to take on the role of EU
commissioner.
    
    ECONOMY
    June PMI manufacturing HCOB data (0745 GMT).
    Transport Ministry releases June car sales data (1600 GMT).
    June state sector borrowing requirement data.
    
    COMPANIES
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    The Italian telecoms group finalises the landmark sale of
its domestic fixed line access network to KKR  KKR.N  as of
Monday.
    
    ENI  ENI.MI 
    The Italian energy group is considering setting up a new
company, to be called Eni Italia, which will control all the
group's Italian upstream onshore and offshore activities, Milano
Finanza reported on Saturday. 
    
    FERRARI  RACE.MI 
    Asked about the possibility of hiring top Formula One
designer Adrian Newey, the Italian luxury sports carmaker's
Chairman John Elkann said on Saturday: "There are so many
options, Newey or others". 
    "We have to assess well whether the conditions are there. We
have to understand the level of motivation and the ability to
create new things rather than copying others," he was quoted as
saying by daily Corriere della Sera. 
    
    RAI WAY  RWAY.MI 
    State broadcaster RAI is expected to sell up to 10% of its
tower unit but not before September, Il Sole 24 Ore reported on
Saturday. RAI aims to raise at least 130 million euros from the
sale of the stake, the paper added.     
    
    IREN  IREE.MI 
    The Italian energy, gas and water utility said in a
statement on Friday it expects to close the acquisition of
smaller rival EGEA on August 1.
    
    (*) M&A, ITA AIRWAYS
    European regulators will approve on Wednesday Lufthansa's
acquisition of a minority stake in the Italian airline Ita,
newspaper Il Messaggero reported on Sunday.

    De-listed as of Monday.
