The board of the Italian energy group decided on Thursday to
submit a proposal to the May 15 shareholders' meeting to adopt
an employee stock ownership plan for the next three years.
A new 1.1 billion euro share buyback programme will be
launched by the energy group this year, Eni added. The amount of
the share buyback programme may be increased up to 3.5 billion
euros, depending on the evolution of the annual cash flow from
operations (CFFO).
The board also approved the possible issue of one or more
bonds, to be placed with institutional investors, for up to 5
billion euros, or its equivalent in other currencies, to be
issued by March 31, 2026, Eni said on Thursday.

that it had received all the necessary approvals for its bid for
the Italian luxury group.
