POLITICS
The centre-left easily retained its stronghold of Florence
in the run-off round of mayoral elections in Italian cities,
denying Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's rightist bloc what would
have been a historic win.
ECONOMY
Bank of Italy releases annual report on sustainable
financial investments and climate risks (0930 GMT).
MARKETS
The chair of the Milan stock exchange on Monday defended the
way it has been run by owner Euronext after unions called a
historic strike for later this week.
DEBT
Treasury sells up to 4.75 billion euros ($5.09 billion) of
BTP Short and BTPei bonds at auction.
The Treasury said on Monday it would offer a new 'short
term' BTP and new 5- and 10-year BTPs in the third quarter.

The Italian defence and aerospace group said on Monday a
plant it operates in southern Italy will be closed for four
months because of the knock-on effects of the crisis faced by
Boeing.

The Italian former phone monopoly is not seeking a partner
for its domestic consumer unit as the firm is focused on growing
businesses left after the sale of its grid assets, CEO Pietro
Labriola said on Monday.
