The following factors could affect Italian markets on Thursday.

    ECONOMY
    Bank of Italy releases January data on foreign investors'
holdings of Italian government bonds.
    Italy could maintain and revise its domestic digital
services tax if an international deal over how to share taxing
rights on large corporations collapses, Economy Minister
Giancarlo Giorgetti said on Wednesday.
    
    DEBT
    Treasury announces sale of 6-month BOT bills, with relative
amounts to be auctioned on March 26.
    
    COMPANIES
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI  
    The Italian phone group's shareholder Merlyn Partners said
on Wednesday the debt-laden company should sell its Brazilian
unit this year as part of a radical restructuring.
   
    POSTE ITALIANE  PST.MI  
    A new strategy through 2028 the national postal service
presented on Wednesday does not include any significant
acquisitions, the chief executive said adding first quarter
trends were outperforming expectations.
    
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI  
    The Biden administration on Wednesday slashed its target for
U.S. electric vehicle adoption from 67% by 2032 to as little as
35% after industry and autoworker backlash in the political
battleground state of Michigan.
    Hundreds of workers producing Maserati sports cars at 
carmaker's Italian Mirafiori plant will be placed on reduced
hours contracts for the rest of the year after a fall in demand,
unions said on Wednesday.
    (*) Stellantis' new car sales in February rose 11.2%
year-on-year in the EU, Britain and and the European Free Trade
Association (EFTA), with a market share rising to 18.7% from 18%
in January, data from the European Automobile Manufacturers
Association (ACEA) showed on Thursday.

    The Italian bank has been working on the reshuffling of the
direct reports of Chief executive Carlo Messina which will be
finalised by next month, with a view to simplify the structure
and ease succession plans in the future, a person close to the
matter said.
    
    DOVALUE  DOVA.MI 
    (*) Softbank-backed doValue, Italy's biggest bad loan
company, on Thursday said it had entered exclusive talks with
Elliott Advisors and another fund to buy rival Gardant.
    'Capital Markets Day' at 0900 GMT.

    The TV group, Prosiebensat.1's  PSMGn.DE  leading investor,
on Thursday proposed that shareholders in the German broadcaster
vote for a splitof the e-commerce and dating assets from the
rest of the TV group at next month's AGM.

    Berenberg on Thursday cut its rating on the company to
'Hold' from 'Buy' and cut the shares' target price to 100 euros
apiece from 104 euros.

    Board meeting on FY results, followed by conference call

    Brussels, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attends European
Union summit (until Friday).
    Brussels, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani attends Nuclear
Energy Summit.
    Rome, The European House-Ambrosetti and Utilitalia start
presentation of 5th edition of the white book "Value of water
for Italy in 2024" and the blue book 2024 "Integrated water
service and extended water supply chain" (1300 GMT); end on
March 22. Expected attendees include A2A  A2.MI  CEO Renato
Mazzoncini, Acea  ACE.MI  CEO Fabrizio Palermo, Hera  HRA.MI
