** Shares of Australia's Island Pharmaceuticals ILA.AX rise as much as 20.7% to A$0.495, their biggest intraday pct gain in more than a month

** Stock touches its highest level since December 8

** The antiviral drug development co says it has been granted US Patent from US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for use of Galidesivir in treatment of filoviridae viruses such as Ebola and Marburg

** Galidesivir is a chemical compund that can stop different RNA viruses from growing

** ILA stock up more than 150% in 2025
