removes extraneous words in last paragraph MILAN, May 14 (Reuters) - Italy's regional utility Acea ACE.MI is considering bidding for the assets to be divested by gas distributor Italgas IG.MI after its acquisition of smaller peer 2i Rete Gas, Acea's CFO said on Wednesday. "We are not present in gas distribution ... we will evaluate whether these opportunities could be synergic with our water and electricity network business," Pier Francesco Ragni told a post result analyst call. Italgas is required by the Antitrust authority to divest certain assets in order for the merger with 2i Rete Gas to go ahead.
