Rheinmetall in talks with Leonardo over buying Iveco's military trucks business

DUESSELDORF, July 30 (Reuters) - German defence group Rheinmetall RHMG.DE is negotiating with Italian state-backed group Leonardo LDOF.MI over potentially buying Iveco's IVG.M military truck business, Rheinmetall said in a statement to Reuters on Wednesday.
Leonardo has agreed to buy Iveco's IDV defence unit, a deal that cleared the way for India's Tata Motors TAMO.NS to buy the rest of Iveco in a deal valued at 3.8 billion euros ($4.4 billion.
