Oct 6 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq rose on Monday, building on last week's gains, as AMD's chip-supply deal with OpenAI highlighted the extent of investor enthusiasm around AI and offset concerns around a prolonged federal government shutdown. .N

At 11:31 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.16% at 46,685.51. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.29% at 6,734.97, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.52% at 22,899.01.
