CANCELLATION OF LISTING OF HOME RETAIL GROUP PLC
Home Retail Group plc ("Home Retail Group") today announces that the cancellation of Home Retail Group Shares from listing on the premium segment of the UKLA's Official List and from trading on the market for listed securities maintained by the London Stock Exchange took place at 8.00 a.m. today (London time). This follows
J Sainsbury plc ("Sainsbury's") and Home Retail Group's joint announcement on 2 September 2016 that the recommended Acquisition of Home Retail Group by Sainsbury's has completed and the entire issued share capital of Home Retail Group is owned by Sainsbury's indirectly, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Sainsbury's Intermediate Holdings Limited.
Defined terms used but not defined in this announcement have the meanings set out in the Scheme Document dated 5 July 2016.
