Feb 1 (Reuters) - Transeastern Power Trust  TEP_u.V : 
 * Announces proposed acquisition of wind renewable energy project 
 * Says entered into letter of intent for the proposed acquisition of a 17 mw 
   operational wind project located in Romania 
 * Says purchase price shall be payable as to 50% by way of an interest free 
   vendor-take-back loan 
 * Purchase price of wind project is EUR 20.4 million (C$30.6 million) less 
   amount of debt financing on wind project at closing date 
 * Remaining 50% payable by issuance of units of trust at deemed issuance price 
   of C$1 per unit,7.5% convertible unsecured debentures
