Janus Henderson climbs after takeover proposal
** Shares of money manager Janus Henderson JHG.N jumps 13.4% to $47.22 ** Co says it has received a takeover proposal from billionaire Nelson Peltz's hedge fund Trian and investor General Catalyst valuing the company at $7.2 billion ** The proposal is for the purchase of all of its shares not already owned by its top shareholder Trian for $46 per share ** Trian, which already owns about a 20% stake, first invested in Janus Henderson in October 2020 and currently has two board seats ** Including session's move, JHG up about 11% YTD (Reporting by Pritam Biswas in Bengaluru; Editing by Shailesh Kuber) ((Pritam.Biswas@thomsonreuters.com))
