APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
 
JD Sports Fashion Plc (the 'Group'), the leading retailer of sports, fashion and outdoor brands, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kath Smith as an independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
 
Kath joins the JD Sports Fashion Plc Board after having previously been the GM/ Vice President of The North Face EMEA, a VF Corporation company. Kath has substantial experience of working with world leading brands and in particular has worked in the sports brand industry for 20 years. Kath's significant brand experience and expertise will assist the Group to enhance its already well-established relationships with leading global brands.
